This workshop is for anyone with a body that experiences physical pain on a constant or come-and-go basis and is open to all who are comfortable with gentle physical movements. Enjoy 3 hours of self-care in a nurturing environment, and foster acceptance for your body in its current condition. This workshop is designed to provide the opportunity to explore your experience of pain and what that pain means to you. Through journaling, meditation exercises and a soothing yoga practice you can begin to let go of negative messages about your bodies/conditions. *
Bring anything that will allow you to feel most comfortable (comfy clothes, pillow, snacks, water), a yoga mat, and a journal and pen.
About the Presenter:
Having her own relationship with pain for the past 5 years, Emma Bell is passionate about making room in the body positivity scene for bodies that do not always feel or perform “well.” Her purpose for this workshop is to help define our worthiness, by detaching it from how we feel physically. This is also an opportunity to combat isolation those in pain may feel, and show that we are not alone! Emma is a 200hr RYT and an All Bodies Rise Yoga teacher.
*This workshop is not intended to treat or diagnose physical conditions, or to provide mental health therapy. Anything you consider a physical pain is legitimate. All activities will be optional. Please be prepared to sit on the ground for most of the day. Blankets will be provided.
